How long does it take before my domain name / hosting account is active?

Once we receive the order, it will generally be activated within 1 business day. Once the account is activated we will email you a Welcome Email with all your account information so you can start uploading/publishing your site.

If this is a new domain registration, it can take 24-36 hours for the domain name to be propagated throughout the DNS servers around the world.

If you are transferring your domain from another host, once the Domain Name Server updated has been completed, it usually takes 24-72 hours before it is active on our servers. All internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the site's new IP. This time period is called propagation.

One way to tell if your domain name is pointing to our servers is to PING the domain name from a command prompt (PING your_domain.com). If the result shows the IP we assigned you, then your domain is pointing to our servers.
